Annie Biers considers it pure joy that God has blessed her with ten full and rich years as a licensed professional counselor. In 2008, Annie earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. While living in Seattle, Annie met and married Michael, the perfect partner whom God had set apart just for her. Together with their 1-year-old son and new degrees in hand, they set out on the long trek from Seattle to Forsyth, GA to grow their roots in the same town where Annie graduated from high school. Fast forward 11 years and Michael and Annie are still giddy in love and just welcomed their fourth child to this world on August 5, 2018. Michael, Matthew (10), Evelyn (8), Jonah (7) and Tessa (still new here) do a great job supporting Annie as she fulfills her calling to journey with people as a counselor. She holds part-time office hours at Crossroads Christian Counseling Center in Macon, GA and has done so since 2015. She views her work as an incredible privilege to work with clients who are courageous enough to examine and own their unique stories. Annie gets to witness her clients experience the power of freedom, peace, and joy that comes as they replace lies of fear, shame, and resentment.
